Ground School
Class is now in session

We offer a new style of Ground School—one designed not just to help you pass a written test, but to prepare you for the checkride and, more importantly, the real-world judgment required to be a safe, competent pilot.

Our Ground School focuses on building true understanding, confidence, and decision-making skills that translate directly to the cockpit.

Ground School Training

All classes are taught by active flight instructors who teach both ground and flight training—so the information is practical, current, and relevant.

What You Will Learn

  • ACS task breakdowns and examiner expectations

  • Aeronautical decision-making & risk management

  • Regulations, airspace, and real-world application

  • Weather interpretation and go/no-go decisions

  • Systems knowledge explained simply and clearly

  • Oral exam preparation and scenario-based thinking

Who Is This Class For?

These courses are strongly encouraged if you (or someone you know) are pursuing:

  • Private Pilot Certificate

  • Sport Pilot Certificate

  • Instrument Rating

Ground School works best when taken at the beginning of flight training, but it’s also highly effective if taken concurrently with flight lessons or as a refresher.

Why Take a Ground School Class

  • Receive the required ground school training to pass your FAA written exams

  • Meet other students and build lasting aviation friendships

  • Learn faster with structured, instructor-led explanations

  • Fly with more confidence and less confusion

What makes our Ground School Different?

Each class dives deep into the Airman Certification Standards (ACS)—the exact standards you must meet or exceed during your final examination (checkride) to earn your pilot certificate.

Rather than memorization, we teach:

  • What to study

  • Why it matters

  • How examiners expect you to think

  • How to apply knowledge in real flight scenarios

These courses prepare you for both the knowledge requirements and the oral portion of the checkride.
